About us

Angus Medical Services was formed because our founder, from their experience working as a Door Supervisor and Mobile Security Officer, has witnessed many times, people becoming unwell or injured from the use of drink or drugs, and always felt that there should be more help available for them. 

 The event that pushed our founder to start this organisation, occurred one night as they were driving to a job in their position as a Mobile security Officer. On their travels they saw two young lads with a group of young ladies crossing a main road. The two lads began to fight and as one was punched in the face, they went down and hit their head on the ground, the other lad ran off. Our founder concerned for the lad on the ground’s welfare stopped to see if they could help. When they arrived, they found that the lad was now unconscious and was bleeding from the back of their head. The girls from the group were attempting to call an ambulance but were not sure they were getting their point across.  

Our founder performed what first aid they could and then spoke to the ambulance operator, they were told that, unfortunately there were currently no ambulances available but would get one to them as soon as possible. Due to everyone being in the middle of the road, the police stopped to find out what was going on. They too attempted to call an ambulance and were unfortunately met with the same response. The police officers decided it was best if they rushed the lad to hospital themselves. Our founder felt sorry for the lad, the young ladies in his company, the police and the Scottish Ambulance Service who were clearly overwhelmed that night. It was then that our founder decided something needed to be done and thus the organisation was formed.  

Our goals are:

 To save lives by providing First Aid services at public events and by providing a First Response service to support the public and Door Supervisors between the hours of 6am and 6pm.
